When people hear the words diet and dieting, what comes to their mind is weight loss, which is accompanied by the picture of fat and obese persons. This,however, is far from being the case, for everyone,whether slim, plump, fat or obese is undertaking one form of dietimg or the other, albeit consciously or unconsciously. The problem in this might lie in the definition of diet many people have come to adopt. Diet basically has to do with the types of food and drink, nourishment and nutrition and the individual takes in the body. On the other hand, dieting is the process of watching what is consumed by the individual in to remain fit and healthy. Everyone should embrace a healthy diet regime, as a matter of fact, which the same as embarking on appropriate diet and dieting. In the same vein,not only the fat and obese but everyone should be concerned about his/her health condition. Nothing can be as misleading as the notion that only a category of persons needs to exercise and eat right. Slim people are as compelled as their fat counterparts to watch their weight and undertake appropriate exercises to be in shape. It is easy for slim people to get out of shape due to lack of exercise and bad diet. Diet and dieting determine the health status of an individual. It is usually said that people are what they eat. This shows tha the person that eats good,wholesome foods is likely to be fit and healthy, especially whe it is supported by appropriat exercise. On the contrary, the individual that indulges in junk foods and hardly undertake any form of exercise should not be suprised if some ailments and diseases set in sooner in life. Physical activities should be embarked upon daily. Simple, but effective exercises such as walking and aerobics come in handy in this regard. Climb the stairs instead of usind the elevator, walk down to the neighbour instead of driving and open the windows to access fresh air instead of putting on the air-conditioner all the time. A lot of people always feel lazy to get up the couch. If you feel lazy to get up your couch,then it will be a challenge for you to stay fit. The question now is,what is the secret people have to manage exercise as a way of life? I don't think there is any secret but there are ways that will help you maintain a nice frame. BE CONSISTENT: If you don't exercise consistently,no exercise programme in the world will work. You have to follow an exercise routine. SET GOALS : Make it a habit to walk for 20 to 30 minutes to walk in a day. Dont make a goal that you will not be able to accomplish,just focus on walking,running or dancing. BE HAPPY ; In anything you are doing in the world just try to be happy. Try to look for something you like doing,if you do not like weights,do not go to the gym. You can lose your weight and get back in shape with any type of activity. Rock climbing is also great. MAKE YOUR PLAN FIT YOUR DAILY LIFE : You dont need to look for exercise gear and gyms before you can get fit. If you've got enough floor space,you can try simple push ups,squats and lunges. Repeat 10 to 12 of each exercise,repition will make you build up enough strength. THE CLOCK : Make sure you try to work out at the time you have enough energy. Working when you have most energy will yield good results. Schedule your fitness activities very early in the day that is if you are a morning person; if you do not have time in the day,plan your activities in the afternoon or evening. I hope this ways will help you but remember,if you do not follow these tricks,there will be setbacks but be patient and please do not give up.
