2015 MTV Movie Awards: 5 Things You Need to Know Before Tonight's Show

It's safe to say this is the awards show where anything can happen. Whether it's Kristen Stewart dropping her golden popcorn seconds after winning or Zac Efron going shirtless while accepting his prize, the MTV Movie Awards feature a little more surprises than your average celebration. Tonight will likely prove to be no different as comedian Amy Schumer takes on hosting duties in between musical performances and the release of brand-new movie trailers. If you're not sure what to watch tonight, perhaps these five reasons will determine if popcorn and pop culture is in your future later this evening. 1) Hostess With the Mostess: If you want any preview of what's to come tonight with Schumer, just take a look at her hilarious clips released in advance. Whether getting horny with Amber Rose or becoming super awkward with Anna Kendrick, the Comedy Central star should make this show quite the special one. 2) Dance Dance: So Taylor Swift may not be coming to shake it off in the audience. Fans, however, can look forward to a performance from Pete Wentz and the band Fall Out Boy. In addition, MTV announced just this past week that Charli XCX will sing with special guests Ty Dolla $ign and Tinashe. Trust us parents, the millennials are excited. 3) Hugs and Kisses: Yes, we love the Best Shirtless Award. But Best Kiss is certainly high up there too! Perhaps James Franco and Seth Rogen will recreate The Interview's smooch. Maybe Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort can channel John Green's words once again on the screen. And then there's Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield for The Amazing Spider Man 2. Perhaps that relationship break didn't come at the best time. 4) World Premieres: Prepare yourselves for a whole lot of sneak peeks! Big-screen fans can look forward to previews of Paper Town, Pitch Perfect 2 and Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ulton. Plus, Bella Thorne will be on-hand to share the first tease at MTV's highly anticipated new series Scream. 5) And the Winner Is: Guardians of the Galaxy, The Fault in Our Stars and Neighbors are the highest nominated films of the year. However, we can confirm Woodley will receive the Trailblazer Award, Robert Downey Jr. will accept the Generation Award and Kevin Hart will get the honor of Comedic Genius Award. Well deserved, indeed. The MTV Movie Awards air Sunday night at 8 p.m. on MTV.
